The Netherlands is a hub of biotech and life sciences innovation, supported by excellent universities, research centers, and a welcoming environment for international talent. With its strong governmental backing for life sciences and agri-food sectors, and being home to some of Europe’s largest biotech investors, the Netherlands is one of the top countries worldwide where to start a biotech company. Nucleate Netherlands emerged at the end of 2023, and quickly gathered interest of the biotech trainee community and national stakeholders. With a growing team of student volunteer leaders, Nucleate Netherlands serves the Dutch biotech landscape by organizing community-building and educational events centered around academic entrepreneurship. Nucleate Netherlands successfully transitioned to Associate chapter status in 2025 and is excited to continue growing its community and empowering life science academic trainees to impact the Dutch and European biotech ecosystem.
